About me

Hello, I’m Meg and I’m the owner of Wild Things – Droitwich

I am passionate about children’s development, and qualified with a B. Ed. (Hons) in Primary Education in 1998. Since then I have taught the full range of Key Stage 1 and 2 age groups, and spent time working in wraparound care. I took an extended break from education to have my own family, and now have a school-aged daughter.

I have a keen interest in the forest school approach and believe the outside world can teach our children so much. They can expend physical energy, develop strength and co-ordination, take (planned, supervised) risks, be curious, get dirty, learn something new every day. As the saying goes, there is no such thing as bad weather, only inappropriate clothing and I aim to get outside with your child as much as possible.

My daughter and I share our home with five rats, three rabbits, two guinea pigs, seven quail and eight chickens (numbers may vary from time to time!).
