The Forest School Association describes Forest School as:
“A child-centred inspirational learning process, that offers opportunities for holistic growth through regular sessions. It is a long-term program that supports play, exploration and supported risk taking. It develops confidence and self-esteem through learner inspired, hands-on experiences in a natural setting”
Here at Wild Things – Droitwich we aim to get outside for a substantial period of time each day. As the saying goes, there is no such thing as bad weather, only unsuitable clothing. We value the benefits that spending time outside, engaging with the natural world and being outdoors in the fresh air, contribute to our physical and mental well-being.
We look to provide a range of opportunities for learning, development and play in the outdoor environment. As well as a large garden, there are a range of walks, parks and different environments all within easy access on foot.
